Below are just a few testimonials from satisfied Zoe Guitar clients who appreciate their custom handmade acoustic guitars.
This wonderful lady from Illinois called a few months ago interested in a smaller guitar, and Shawn just happened to have started a new parlor build. She was able to make a few choices about tuners, type of finish, etc. to make this guitar "her own."
Shawn worked hard to complete the build and sent it out right after her birthday and before Christmas!
Alice was kind enough to have her husband take this video of her opening up her new guitar!
My Zoe parlor guitar is one of the favorite instruments that I have, and I have a lot of guitars!
It is made out of an absolutely, ridiculously beautiful piece of wood! (Granadillo)
It has just been amazing! It has been a constant companion for song writing, but also for performing. I look forward to playing it on some records, which I have actually already done.
Check these guys out . . . They make incredible, beautiful, unique , gorgeous instruments.

I just started work with Shawn on a custom build...Wow. There is so much to know about how guitars are built and what should be done to compliment the music you're playing and your style. Zoe Guitars is the brand to chose on a custom build...and if you're thinking about it - I encourage you to talk Shawn because of his knowledge and craftsmanship.
Picked up my new custom built guitar built by Shawn at Zoe Guitars in Oceanside, CA. I’m so grateful to have been introduced to Shawn and have him share his knowledge on what makes a great sounding guitar!

Shawn Weimer of Zoe Guitars is the most knowledgeable and skilled guitar maker I know. I played all his current models and LOVE the sound, look and playability of each. I got to tour his workshop and see him finish up on this jumbo in the photo - sounds AMAZING! I’d rather have one of his unique creations than a cookie cutter guitar from some big brand that has been sliced up and assembled by machines exclusively. Play one and you’ll see!

My Zoe is my main instrument. I am continually surprised at the articulate beauty and power of it’s sound and design. It’s an SJ model that echoes back to guitars played by Elvis, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and countless other greats. I’m pretty far from that echelon but I’m grateful to play an instrument of this caliber and to have had the experience of choosing tone woods, cut, hardware and other appointments to make this guitar unique. Shawn helped me navigate those choices and introduced me to a new level of the world of luthiery that is being explored from the Zoe Guitars workshop outside of San Diego.

I had the pleasure of picking up my custom-built Zoe guitar this weekend. and I can't stop playing it! The feel, the look, the breadth of the tone--it's amazing!
Shawn is an incredible luthier, and he was kind enough to walk me through some of the steps of building the guitar. I learned more about wood, action, design, and just about everything else through this process. Best of all, I got a beautiful, made-with-love instrument that will only sound better as the years go on. I look forward to representing Zoe Guitars.
Shawn's guitars reflect his character; he is a man of integrity, kindness, and intentionality.. I am honored to know Shawn and his business, and will be a proud Zoe Guitars supporter for life. Thanks, Shawn!”

I am loving my jumbo Zoe guitar. It makes me so happy!
(After visiting Shawn's workshop and showroom in Fallbrook) . . . I pulled it off his wall . . . I love loud guitars. I'm a strummer, so even when I finger strum, I want to be able to hear it., and it sounds great both ways.
I had a guitar that I just loved . . . it was a Gibson J45. I lost it in the flood in 2010 in Nashville and I've been wanting to replace that guitar for awhile. But now, I no longer want that J45 because this guitar feels and sounds so much like the J45, but even better, because my friend made it for me and its a custom and I won't find it anywhere else.

I have an OM model with granadilla back and sides which I designed with Shawn. I had never even hear of granadilla until we started working together and he was teaching me all about the different woods that were available to work with and the different ways of putting a guitar together.
The process of designing a guitar was absolutely fascinating and I think resulted for me in a guitar that feels really special to me. It has felt for me like it has a lot of character and it has been really great for song writing. The shape and the tone of the body really provides something special among any of the other guitars that I own. I'm really excited to have this guitar!

I saw Zoe Guitars at a recent art show. I was impressed with the fabulous build quality, the incredible tonewoods, and his dedication as Luthier! After I carefully examine one of Shawn's best guitars, I told Shawn that I didn't think he should sell it for less than $10,000!

I want to thank all the people over the years who I’ve met and who have been a part of my success. Without all of you, this journey would have been a glass half-full. Especially, to the musicians that have trusted me and my art enough to allow my instruments to be a part of your brand.
After a lot of contemplation and going back-and-forth, I’ve decided to retire at the end of June. The decision is definitely bittersweet, but feel like the timing is perfect to pursue the next chapter. Thank you!
