Shawn has been building one-of-a-kind acoustic guitars off-and-on for about 30 years. Literally no two guitars he has built are the same. Very little actual machining is used in his shop. In other words, about 95% of the time spent building is hand-crafted work. Each guitar is cared for by no one other than the Shawn himself with the building process taking anywhere from 3 weeks to a few months, depending on the complexity. Each instrument is intonated so that each note is crisp and clear up and down the neck.
Zoe Guitars was born out of a zest for life and a love for music. The word Zoe literally means "life" in Greek and was named after Shawn's beautiful grand daughter. Tone woods are carefully selected from a variety of cites-registered sources with close attention paid to the sustainability of the particular species of wood and quality, in terms of instrument worthy wood. These instruments will be treasured as they are passed from one generation to another. All instruments carry a life-time guarantee in regards to workmanship.
